I got my 2013 2.0T a couple of weeks ago. I told myself I wouldn't do anything to it..... turns out I lied to myself. :cookoo: Got diablosport tune already, what a difference, and ZZP intake arriving with the brown pants santa today. Thinking about the e85 conversion. The tune I can easily undo if something goes wrong, but the conversion is pretty obvious. This is a certified preowned, so I'm wondering if the conversion would negate my powertrain warranty. Anyone have experience with it?

YQ4 Track Performance Package on 3.6
What exactly is included in the Track Performance Package (RPO code = YQ4). This is optional on the 3.6 RWD Premium models only. The brochure states:
TRACK PERFORMANCE PACKAGE High-capacity engine cooling, supplemental engine oil cooler and high-performance
brake pads (3.6L RWD models)
I'm curious is 2 outboard aux radiators (similar to the '16 Camaro SS) are included in this package.
Also curious if it could be pieced together afterwards fairly easily and inexpensively.
If anyone has this package or knows the details of it, I'd appreciate the info.

2016 ATS 2.0T E85 Conversion Kit Inquiry (E80 ECM)
Hi Guys,
I am a newb here, so please forgive me if I am posting an inquiry that has already been discussed. I am looking for an E85 conversion kit that is compatible with the new E80 ECM in the 2016 ATS 2.0T. I have gone to ZZP, D3, and other vendors who are all telling me that their kits are only compatible up to 2015. The only one that says their kit will work with the 2016 is Vermont Tuning, but I am not 100% sold on this information. Anyone know where I can find a conversion kit that will be a guaranteed match for my year? Thanks in advance for all who respond.
Update: BNR just messaged me saying they can make the hardware available, but I do not want to be their guinea pig if this is uncharted territory for them.

8 speed AT is legit, IF you do this trick...
Observations after driving a '17 2.0T AWD with the new 8 speed auto for a week:
Tour mode the trans may as well be a VVT. Silky smooth like a luxury car should be. But thats boring and not why we buy sports sedans! SPORT MODE!
Don't worry about getting the floppy paddle controls, you wont need them. In fact, don't even touch the manual shift on the stick either...
If you activate sport mode on the freeway you may only notice the wheel getting a bit more weighted. Turn off to some twisty B roads and you will realize there is much more to it then that.
If you start giving some aggressive throttle inputs you are met with a 'high rpm' mode. The transmission down shifts though each gear as you brake keeping the RPM high the entire time, much like you would if you were driving a manual transmission and rev-matching. This means power the second you ask for it, mid corner or exit. Not just full throttle either. The gear is held until red line whether rolling on to the power or doing a quick full/off/full application. In fact it seems you can get right up to redline and if you are not full throttle, it will hold for a bit before going up. This is perfect for transitional sections, mid corner corrections, traction modulation, autocross etc.
This hoon mode is only for a short period of time though. If you hold steady speed or are not providing strong enough inputs it will exit high RPM mode and upshift to its normal cruising gear. From here, getting back into high RPM mode requires aggressive inputs again, which means the first braking event won't be met with down shifts and/or the first heavy throttle input will be delayed while the transmission does its thing.
This is where most people would be tempted to start clicking the floppy paddles or tugging on the manual stick. There are a few problems with this:
1) You cant click fast enough going down through the gears
2) You cant upshift as perfectly or as quickly as the ECM can in auto mode
There is a solution! I'm not sure the engineers did this on purpose but it works AWESOME!
If high RPM mode has been deactivated, as you slow for the next corner brake with your left foot and blip the throttle with your right at the same time... Its a 'strong' blip. Fully throttle and do it quick like you are smacking the floor board or practicing your sweet tap dancing moves. Usually one will do it but two-three wont hurt either if you are quick.
Not only does this get the ECM back in high RPM mode, the transmission skips any gears needed to get 'caught up'. Ie you exit a corner and keep the hammer down until you reach the max speed you are comfortable with and ease up. High RPM mode is deactivated, transmission shifts to 8th gear. 2 seconds later you brake HARD before entering a slow 90. You need 1st or 2nd to exit under power and you only have 2 seconds to get there. Instead of trying to set the world mouse clicking record with 6 clicks in that time, simply blip the throttle and the trans will go straight from 8>3 or even 8>2 before the end of the braking zone.
Brilliant!
Maybe someone can find this in HP tuners and make always on for track duty.

2.0T Trifecta Tune
Hey guys-
I have a 2014 2.0T. I put a Trifecta tune on it(had it redesign to NOT rev about 6500 R's), the ZZP intake tube and I"m considering a ZZP hi-flow DP.
Here's my question- how potentially "bad" is this for the car with the upped power?
I'm well aware that GM is known for over engineering and I'm hoping this minor mods aren't gonna blow this thing up.
ANY feedback is welcomed. Also- the tune has a "transparency feature".... is this even legit? I'm told is useless when scanned for mods and the piston issue has me beyond worried.
Thanks!!!

Max RPM
How high can you buzz these motors? The last Evo VIII I played with was shifted around 10k RPM. I know DOHC is supposed to be superior in valve control, so theoretically you should be able to shift pretty damned high. I'm surprised we don't shift past 7k RPM stock. So, any other like minded individuals out there hangin the valves open for as long as possible? I know Atrim was only shifting his TurboBay car in the low 6k range, 6200ish if memory serves.

GM accessory performance exhaust for the 3.6?
I have read on multiple occasions that there is/was a GM performance fatback exhaust system for the 3.6 available. I just got done reading a car and driver test of the 2017 ATS V6 which had the accessory exhaust system as well as the V Sport brake package.
The search function on this forum is useless to me and I came up with nothing. A google search also came up with nothing except systems for the 2.0t or maganflow, Borla, and a couple others for the V6. So does anyone have info on this system? Based on the pictures the tips have a nice looking V symbol on the top of the tips. If I had to guess the mufflers looked like a Corsa style setup. Looking for any info/pics on this system. Car and driver said outside it sounded glorious, but a bit of drone inside. I also see this system listed in accessories on Cadillac.com

Production should begin the next couple months and hits the stores by summer! I cannot tell you how excited I am for a good set of shocks and struts that arent soft and die in 30-40k miles.

Run Flat Prefernce Question
So I am curious, I hear so many people dislike the run flat tires. Is this simply a comfort issue? Cost issue? I prefer handling over a little more comfort so long as the car does not rattle apart. Also, do these tires offer less grip than others? I came off a G35 coupe (less torque) but it seemed to handle like a piggy on the turns and no grip below 55 degrees (yes summer tires) . I never went hog wild on great all around tires so I am curious when the time comes what I should look into tire wise. So far have no complaints of how this car came stock. Soon to add Eibach springs if it matters.

Gas Pedal Mod - Easy
I recently bought a 2016 ATS Coupe and love everything about the driving experience except one small issue. The gas pedal was unusually stiff and what I'd call notchy. I moved from an older CTS that had a smooth and easy pedal and the new pedal just stood out as not feeling quite right.
So over the weekend I dove into the pedal assembly to see if there's any adjustability. It turns out that the interior of the assembly has two springs, one inside another that provide the resistance to the pedal. Removing the harder inner spring reduced the pedal resistance to just how I like it. It's almost like GM intended it to be adjustable by playing with the combination of springs. Adding some thick lube also made it feel smoother.
There's one 10mm holding the pedal assembly to the floor, and 6 torx (i think t-20) to open it up. From start to finish, the whole effort was less than 6 minutes.
This probably isn't for everyone, but I thought I'd share that it's a super easy mod in case anyone was wondering about it.

Renick Axle Back Sports Exhaust for the Turbo 2L
So I purchased this exhaust system last summer and just now got around to installing it. Why the delay?... many reasons, #1 I'm just a procrastinator, but secondly, this exhaust is designed for 2015+ models, and because I'm a 2013, some cutting and Y-adapter involved... plus other than ''sound & look,' I didn't think it would make much of a true performance difference. Plus I just wasn't certain how much I wanted to do with the bumper to bumper & powertrain warranties still in effect.
Renick Performance advertises these for $495, but right now on eBay you can find them for $470... I swear I purchased mine for $46X something ~6 months ago. In reading through posts, I already know of one member who said the Renick sounds like crap. Well, I'll say this, and you have to understand I had the OEM middle resonator taken out (an asymmetrical 1 into 2 affair) and replaced with a longer inline resonator with the pipe Y'ing out afterwards, that I think the exhaust definitely sounds better than before. Perhaps there are other systems out there that sound better, but I would say this is a large step in the direction of sporty and aggressive sounding, without being draining on your ears. This coming from a guy with 'untrained ears' who has been driving and listening to 4 & 6 cylinder Italian overhead cam engines for well over 25 years.... But what do I know...
At idle, there is definitely a more pronounced lower frequency, burbly growl to the sound. As revs build, so does the sound, still sounding more visceral and authoritative than buzzy or 'ricer.' I did have a moment of concern driving home, as I detected a resonant droning between about 2600-2800 rpm but that was with the rear seat backs down, as I transported the OEM exhaust back home. With the seat backs up this really wasn't a problem within the cabin as I tested it several times since.
So, looks and sound aside... was there any performance gains to be had? My butt-ometer says yes. The car is more willing to scoot to 6K revs, and the car seems more eager, and a greater push in the back when accelerating. What impressed me the most was at speed, and accelerating from part throttle onward, say from 3K up... a lot more urgency noted.
Are there better Axle Back systems out there? Perhaps. I will say this - quality is high on this stainless steel system, solid welds and everything shiny where it needs to be. I wasn't disappointed installing this, and feel a bit perturbed that I waited so long, given how its livened up the car a bit. As an added note, calling and talking with Renick Performance was an excellent customer experience to boot!

Blow Off Valve Question...
So this is my first boosted vehicle. I have much to learn yet. This is partly why I now enjoy this site, no drama no hate! So my question is now this: I pretty much realize a blow off valve is for noise, at least I assume so. ZZP has a 50mm bov which sounds enticing. I am stock except for the ZZP silicone pipe. Now, other than simply spending money for the sound, will it provide any befit performance wise to my car? If it matters, I do plan on the catted downpipe and an axle back exhaust in the near future. All thoughts are appreciated.

What products do you use to keep your ATS looking clean
This is my first car purchase (that I care about), what are good products for keeping a black ATS clean ('15/luxury/3.6) inside and out. Tires, carpets, interior, outside paint, windows, lights, etc.) I essentially want to keep a bunch of cleaning supplies in my truck for the car in case a bird shits on it, tree sap spills, whatever. How often should you wash car/rims as well, and with what products?
Also, what are the common problems this year/trim might have and what maintenance should I look out for? Currently right around the middle of 25k miles. Former lease vehicle that's only been owned for 1 yr, 2 months.
EDIT: Also my car is equipped with navi and all other cue features, so I assume it has an onstar subscription? I want to use the mycadillac app but I need onstar account information?? Do I just create one is does navi not require onstar?
