well got my car back from the dealership and it was the day before Christmas so of course I was on the happy side.
At first I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Please Know the day before I got it back the whole front end was apart for them to swap the motor.
well anyway it was 1:15pm weds before Christmas and I 1 wanted to go home because Diablo closed early that day and 2 needed to finish up some last minute things. 3 the dealership closed at 2.
so in a somewhat of a hurry I pick the car up and away I go. car starts, sounds good driving good. Wheel straight even thought they dropped the sub frame. all seems ok.
Look at my radio and see that the outside temp is not displaying No big deal figured they just flashed the car so its probably updating, so kept driving. Still nothing . So I got to my shop and looked for the outside temp sensor and low and behold its unplugged. Not a big deal besides the whole front belly pan had to come off and of course there is 15 screws holding it on and my lifts are tide up. So I pull it up on ramps and go to town. I plug it back in and all is well. OR so I thought.
temp sensor fixed. A few hours go by and I have my wife in the car and she gets in and was like WHOA why am I damn near touching the roof. I tell her well they had to do a seat belt recall so i'm sure they had the seat out. well they did Only problem is they forgot to reinstall it correctly. The seat has front Hooks more or less that grab on to the frame and then the rear has two bolts. well the front hooks were resting on top of the body of the car and the bolts were installed essentially you can rock the seat back and forth as there was nothing preventing it from doing so in the front as well as all the front plastic rail covers were not installed on either front seat. they were just sitting on the floor. images supplied so you can see.

The Tuesday prior to getting the car back I got a call from the dealership (NOT THE SA) stating we have a problem (someone hollowed out your cat) I was like no its an aftermarket pipe Then says well we will have to order another as we need to cover our buts. First of it was 7am and I just don't get up that early so I told the guy don't bother I have the original and will bring it down he says great. They proceeds to say we need to rewire your PCM. I didn't quite catch that at the time as I thought originally he was talking about a reflash. 7am was still sleeping. well I bring the pipe in and directly to the tech working on the car and he said nothing just thanks.
To me I am not sure what the big deal was as the engine was approved already and the downpipe had nothing to do with the internal (never determined) engine noise. techs response was I just conned them into getting you a new motor. anyways I complied with out resistance simple cause I know the current recal that includes the plugs and reflash had to be done. and chances are it might of made the check engine light go on due to NO cat. So I was cool with it. no argument there.
But what they did do is remove MY E85 sensor harness. The sensor is self was removed a long time ago and the harness for it was just sitting there. Not connected to anything. they removed it for no apparent reason. basically it was unplugged when the car was dropped off and could of just been left unplugged but tucked away when the car was picked up but no they spent extra time removing it for NO reason once so ever.
anyways the point of the post after I got that all out.
Can others with AUTO trans do me a favor . I seem to have a vibration that is felt through the car specifically the steering wheel and Brake pedal while at a light and the AC on. For your foot it feels like your getting a message from a cheap foot machine. can someone leave there car in park and activate there ac. when the ac kicks on does it feel like an increased vibration which can be felt through your shoes/ sneakers and will cycle with the a/c or simple press the brake and feel for the vibration and if felt even the slightest keep holding the brake and shut the climate controls off. seems the whole car has a transfer of vibration when the A/C is on as if they missed something on the subframe install or a motor mount vac line wasn't connected correctly Or simple the tech broke a motor mount or something.
Please someone test I am not sure if mike is here at diablo today to compare my car to his so I will ask the board.
