Auto 2.0T holds gear at high RPM going down hill

This has happened 3 times so far. Each time going down a steep grade on the freeway. With my foot off the gas, coasting down a decline I suddenly notice the car, seemingly downshift, and my rpms jump to 4-4500 rpm and hold it there. I have to either jump on the gas to get out of that gear or put the car in neutral and then back into drive.

Curious if this has happened to anyone else. Thinking this could be related to the shift linkage recall. Or a software issue. Any thoughts. Will prob take it in this week.
