I had just ordered some new wheels for my ATS that I had my heart set on, which were 18 inch that I was planning on just swapping out on the same tires that came with the car since they are the right size. Unfortunately I was just emailed that the manufacturer doesn't have any more 18 inch wheels that I wanted right now, but they do carry the same wheels in the 20 inch size and offered to get me those with a discounted tire package.
While a part of me wouldn't mind a nice set of 20 inch wheels on my ATS, I was worried that if I did go with the 20 inch wheels, that there could be fitment/rubbing issues. The manufacturer states that the wheels are drilled individually to order, which makes me feel a little better if they specifically guarantee fitment to the individual's car model before finalizing an order. I have read that Cadillac was planning on offering 19 inch wheels on the ATS at some point, that being said, would that mean an additional inch to go up to 20 would fit well on the ATS? Anyone with more expertise on that matter that could offer some words of advise would be very much appreciated. At this point I am either going to stick it out and see if it's possible to wait for more 18 inch wheels to become available, or just upgrade to 20 inch. I feel like Ive already saturated myself with wheel choices and have found the one that really calls to me, so I really would prefer to not have to choose a different wheel style.
