Been into the dealer a few times, and I imagine they are just as annoyed, just with me and not the car.... But here we go.
My car: 2015 ATS 2.0T - Trifecta Tuned with ZZP intercooler, ZZP catless dp to custom exhaust, ZZP TB upsize, ZZP CAI. Mishimoto CC (installed 40k kms) currently 55k kms.
The issue: Car under low load sputters and shakes and didn't seem to engage. It has stalled a couple of times in traffic, or parking lots, or anywhere load is low. When I punch it, it sputters on shift but catches stride and is pretty good. ... Not perfect. But I wouldn't be in the dealership if I could floor it everywhere we'll say.
Originally I blamed the torque converter as it is a common issue with similar symptoms. It's been checked apparently and is fine. Could still be an issue, who knows. But recently has produced a p0300 misfire code.
What I've done so far: dealer has cleaned injectors, and she is running new AMSOIL ATF, and oil. MAF cleaned, filter cleaned, TB cleaned (nasty with carbon and oil) spark plugs changed and regapped. Has been tuned back to stock with some stock bits back on, runs the same. Tune logs coming back clean... I feel this is hardware at this point.
Mechanic friend of mine without skipping a beat says "it's yer valves bud" .... So here we are. She's at dealer today. But of course they won't touch, code wasn't there for them (lost in tuning most likely) and all they saw was O2 sensor (no cat... And unrelated.) Asked them to have a look at the valves for me to find carbon buildup, said no go without the codes being there..... It's been like this for a year I just want it sorted, and I don't have the tools or experience to mess with it. Thoughts anyone? Is it the valves? Is it something else? Ideas? Obviously without seeing it nobody can be 100%sure, but anything helps!
