Did the 2017 2.0t get an exhaust upgrade?

Dropped my 2014 2.0t at the dealer a few days ago so they could program the second key fob they promised me when I got my car and to take care of a loose belt. They gave me a 2017 2.0t loaner, unsure of trim. The loaner car has noticeably more power then mine on the low end, I know that in 2015 they got a power and torque increase. But what I am liking the most is the sound, exhaust spunds a lot better then mine and better still I can actually hear the turbo when it spools, seriously love this! Did the exhaust get an upgrade for better sound, or is this the result of just what was down with the power increase?
