Currently have 20k miles on my 2013 ATS 3.6 RWD. I noticed some creeking in the rear left so took it in. They replaced a bushing which got rid of most the noise under 5mph but now noticed a bubble in my rear left tire. I left it at the dealership for a quote on replacements (assuming this will be steep). The tread life currently on the tires is just fine. I live in Scottsdale, AZ, so high heat summers with very very few rain showers in the year.
My questions I have are:
Do both rears need to be replaced?
Can a different tire/tread/brand be used?
Can I replace just the rears with non runflat tires? (I hear they will be much more comfortable than what I have: Michelin Primacy Run Flat Tires)
Can I get a wider tire in the rear without compromising handling or ride efficiency?
What tires would you recommend?
Thank you,
